Greek Media

Friends in Greece (and friends elsewhere who can read Greek):

My story as told by Petros Kousoulos will be in the VETO newspaper this weekend.

Also, I did an interview with Stavros Theodorakis today for this Saturday's Ta Nea.

Finally, a shout-out to Bollybutton for sharing the story on her blog.

I really hope that the press and nedia pick up your story and run with it.. and then carry on running with it, until it becomes impossible for the authorities, however corrupt they may be, to ignore. People need to be shamed into action here. Greece is such a beautiful country but if you turn over a few of those wonderful stones, you see an awful lot of vile maggots... Good luck, good luck, good luck!

I found you via My Big Fat Greek Life. I am so sorry you have been treated so poorly by this country and I admire you so much for continuing to stand for what is right. You DO deserve justice and they must administer it.

I will do what I can to spread your story as far and wide as I can. I live on Corfu- another holiday destination.

I send you big virtual hugs and warm regards. As the previous post said: Good luck, good luck, good luck....

Dear Ms. Karneef,
I read about your experience in "Ta Nea" (27-28/03/10).

I regret that we have such con-men amongst us. They make a mockery of our hospitality and are a disgrace to our heritage.

I am also very sorry that you have to go thru such bureaucratic harassment to get justice. You have been going thru what we "disasterologists" call "secondary trauma".

Don't be discouraged and don't give up, until justice is done, not only for yourself but also for so many others who do not have the courage to come out and stand up for their rights.

You might also get in touch with the "Secretariat for Women's Equality" (Γενική Γραμματεία Ισότητας).

Best wishes,
